"Ghost of Girlfriends Past" is a definite no, no, no. I'm sorry if you have already wasted your money on this one because it was absolutely terrible! The story is an all right, decent tale about a guy who is going the wrong way with his life (especially the women). In the end he eventually sees what is important which is a good story, but the major think that I disliked was how dirty the whole movie was. I really wish I would of walked out it just wasn't worth the money or time. Everypart of this movie was very dirty and I really advise you not to watch it.

A Comedy!
All right so last weekend I went and saw "17 Again", and it was pretty funny. Not stupid funny like "will ferrel" movies, but was a nice movie to see because it's not only funny, but it is also cute and is a good story. It is about a middle-aged man who is still stuck in his high school years and how he can't stop thinking about what life he could of had. Consequently he turns into his 17 year old self and is given a chance to go back to high school. Zac Efron plays the 17 year old and did an awesome job. This movie was his chance to show that he can do more than just sing and dance (high school musical). He can act! I haven't been embarassed for a character in a movie theater since I saw "Dan in Real Life". The whole time you are so embarassed for Zac Efron's character, and are so relieved when it is all finally over. You'll know what I mean if you've seen "Dan in Real Life' or "17 Again" by feeling embarrassed. So it was a good movie, but it did have some dirty parts! Definently not a appropriate movie for younger kids! Overall it's a comedy, and a good one.Monday, April 13, 2009
HaNnAh MoNtAnA!
This last weekend I went and saw Hannah Montana. It was acutally a really cute movie! It's one of those movies that is fun to see and has a good story. You might think that its going to be cheesy along the lines of the High School Muscial Movies, however this disney movie is definently not as cheesy. Now you might wonder isn't this a tv show? Wouldn't i have to watch the tv show in order to see the movie? Yes the movie comes from the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana, but no you wouldn't have to be framilar with the show in order to enjoy the movie. The movie explains it all, well the main part of the story so you can enjoy it. So if you want to see a good movie then this is the one you want! It's fun and cute and will keep your attention! You'll laugh and maybe even shed a tear!

Now, about me
I am doing good and not too much has changed. I had a nice spring break, although I wish it would of been longer! I'm back in school and can't wait for summer. School is going good. It really isn't that bad, some of its pretty interesting. As I think about my first year of college, I really did learn a lot I think. It's different than high school, and I really think what I'm learning is sticking to me...weird. Maybe it's because I'm finally training for my actual career. Who knows?
I'm excited General Conference is coming up this weekend. It's always nice to hear from our church leaders. I also love going to Deseret Book for the Ladies Night on Saturday while the boys are at Priesthood. It's so much fun! We are having a family night with my mom's side of the family on on Monday. It is going to be an Easter Egg Hunt so it will be fun to see everyone. Anyways I will have to update on how this weekend and next week will go! (Remember to read my movie reviews, and see AUSTRALIA)

KNOWING
This is the movie where Nicholas Cage plays the father of a boy who recieves a list of numbers from a school time capsule. Cage then figures out that the numbers correspond to every major disaster in history. It tells the date that these disasters has happened, and as he examines the list he finds that their are dates on it that haven't happened yet. He knows what is coming and doesen't understand why it is him who knows. I won't say much more because it might give something a way, but he finds out that the last date listed could mean the end of the planet Earth.
Yeah, this movie is still in theaters and it is crazy! I think it is one that is good to see at least once. I'm not sure I w
ould want to watch it over and over again. It is well done, but the whole movie is a little out there. This is good though because it makes you really think and put things in perspective. I guess the best word to describe it would be INTENSE. This movie has some good themes and interesting ideas. Nicholas Cage's character is going through a time where he thinks that everything is random and that there isn't a God out there. In the end he will figure it all out though, but it takes some destruction to get him there. This movie's name is perfect, and just thinking of it gives me chills. I'll admit it's kind of scary (there's a plane crash that is kind of vivid so close your eyes!), and I even shed a tear because I guess I was sort of happy/sad in the end.
So overall a decent movie that you don't feel like was a waste of money because its guaranteed you will get something out of it. (Make sure you see Australia though!)

a MUST see!
Hey all! So I recently rented Australia from redbox and was so impressed that I thought I should blog about it. This movie was VERY well done. It is honestly one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Although it may come across as a chick flick let me assure you that it is not. It has romance (what good movie dosen't?), but is also filled with action, and great ideas. Although it is about 3 hours long, it is definently worth the time, and you will not be dissapointed! So, now you probably want to know what this movie is about. It is set during WW2 and is about an English woman who travels to Australia where her husband is running a cattle ranch. Though a series of events this proper English woman ends up having to drive the cattle to Darwin, Australia. This is only the beginning! The whole story is so complex that I can't even describe anymore of it. I will say that this great film also teaches you a lot about the Indigenous people in Australia, and how they were treated in this time period. There is a little boy you will fall in love with, a romance you will root for, and a man you will hate in this movie Australia. Go out and see it!

Movies and Updates!
My life is still the same as last time I wrote, but I guess it's a little different. I've seen two movies recently. Shopaholic was fabulous, although it looks like a silly, cheesy, girly, movie...well it is! That is what makes it so great! It is a funny chick flick about a girl who loves to shop but ends up in a tangled mess involving debts, credit cards, and (of course) a very good looking man. So I recomend if you are going to see a movie, don't know what to see, and are in a feel good mood (in need of a chick flick) then see Shopaholic!
Now I sort of broke my rules with this next movie that I saw with Kylie and my dad. We went and saw Fired Up. Yes, I know it is one of those movies that you just know you don't go waste money on at the movie theater. Basically it is about two football jocks who ditch out on football camp to attend cheer camp in order to get girls. It was entertaining and very funny, but in the end gave me no important message. All I can say is that at least I didn't have to buy my own ticket. It wasn't bad (well it was pretty dirty) if you are a person who is into these type of movies. A lot of them invovle Will Ferrell, who I can't really handle a lot of for many reasons (Mainly he drives me crazy!!!).
Besides my movie reviews, I have been busy in school with essays, exams, and the whole bit. The things I am looking forward to are vacations I will be going on in the summer! As much as I have enjoyed going to Canada, and Hawaii for the last few years I am happy to be breaking the tradition and seeing places that I have never been to! We are going on a Cruise to the Bahammas in May, and will also be spending a few days in Florida! I've never been on a cruise so I'm way excited, although I think the most excited out of us all is probably Taylor (he can't wait to eat the food). The other trip we are going on is a church history one to Nauvoo/Independence area! I love church history and am really excited to be able to have the opportunity to go where so many important things have happened. I can't imagine how it will feel to be somewhere where Joseph Smith and the early saints lived. Well thank you for reading my update, and I hope it was interesting on some note!
